United is bringing back its nonstop flight from New York-Newark to Marrakesh, Morocco for the Winter 2025/26 season.
While Casablanca has long been served by Royal Air Maroc from New York-JFK, Marrakesh is an ideal airport for travelers wanting to explore central and southern Morocco, with faster access to the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.
Travelers to Marrakesh Menara Airport get the added bonus of experiencing its striking new design by E2A Architecture, which incorporates domes and geometric patterns inspired by Moroccan mosaics.
The last departure of the season from Newark is on Friday, March 27, 2026.

How to plan a 5-day trip to Marrakesh, Morocco
Marrakesh makes for an ideal 5-day getaway from the East Coast. Taking United’s Tuesday evening flight UA 628 from Newark, arrive Marrakesh in the early afternoon and check into a boutique hotel like Riad Rumi for a 4-night stay.
Spend the evening exploring Jemaa El-Fna Square and the nearby souks. The next day, take a taxi to visit top attractions like the Menara Gardens, Marrakech Musem and Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
On Friday, consider hiring a private driver for a daytrip to Essaouira (2h45 each way), with picturesque forts and vibrant markets, before returning to Marrakesh in the evening. Alternatively, travel over the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate (3h30 each way) and visit the Taourirt Kasbah.
